Travel more sustainable!


Andhra Pradesh is situated in the southeastern coast of India. It is India’s fourth largest state by area and fifth largest by population with 76 million inhabitants. Telugu is the official language. The capital and largest city is Hyderabad with around four million people.

In Medakh district on the Deccan plateau you find Café Ethnic, serving traditional millet meals and close by Sangam shop, selling millets. The café and shop is run by the organisation Deccan Development Society (DDS) known for its remarkable work amongst poor people in the region. In Hyderabad you should pay a visit to MESH, selling fair trade items produced by people living with disabilities and leprosy.
